Lisa Taliano
Lisa Taliano lives and works in New York City. In June 2019, she took part in Artists and the Philosophers We Love, a symposium at the University in Hertfordshire, where she presented Disorientation Re/Presentation. She is currently working on a creative research project on ecological imaging: Mapping the Critical Zone in the City, which will culminate in a collaborative set of art events, October 2019 in New York. Lisa received an MFA from Boston University and an MA in Philosophy from Indiana University, Bloomington. In 2019, she co-curated You Are Not Alone and 10 X Relay with Jackie Meier at Casimir Effect and UT, Knoxville, Downtown Gallery respectively. She has had several solo and two/three person shows at venues including Ten43 Gallery, Kenise Barnes Fine Art and GAGA Arts Center. In 2018 and 2017, she was a resident at Arte Studio Ginestrelle in Assisi, Italy. Lisa co-curated Eating Painting at Project:ARTspace NYC in 2015 with James Biederman. In 2013 she co-curated Sleepwalker at Vaudiville Park Gallery in Williamsburg with Caleb Nussear and Glen St.Jean. She is currently being represented by GUT Gallery, Dallas, TX.
